Attachment-Based Therapy for Lasting Change & Deeper Connection

At Cardinal Counseling Connection, we offer Emotionally Focused Therapy to help you move from disconnect to lasting bonds. Our compassionate, attachment-based care is available in person or through secure, high-quality telehealth sessions.

SERVICES

  • Because love is worth working for.

Relationship counseling supports couples in creating secure, emotionally connected partnerships. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy, I help you identify patterns, deepen emotional safety, and communicate in ways that bring you closer.

I welcome all couples—dating, engaged, married, or long-term partners—and offer support with:

    • Affair recovery & rebuilding trust

    • Premarital counseling & preparing for marriage

    • Improving intimacy and addressing sexual difficulties

    • Navigating disconnection, conflict, or communication struggles

Love isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence, repair, and learning to turn toward each other.

  • Know yourself. Trust yourself. Connect more deeply.

Individual therapy is a collaborative space to explore who you are and what you need to thrive. Many clients come feeling disconnected from themselves or unsure how to create fulfilling relationships. Together, we’ll help you clarify your identity, understand the emotions beneath your patterns, and learn how to relate more openly with compassion for yourself and others.

This work is especially powerful for those who:

    • Struggle with self-worth or boundaries

    • Long for closer, more secure relationships

    • Feel stuck repeating painful patterns

    • Want to grow emotionally and relationally

  • Sometimes, a weekly hour just isn’t enough.

For couples or individuals who want to dig deep, move through stuck places faster, or begin healing after a crisis, Intensive Sessions offer extended, focused time together—often 4 hours or more in a single day.

These sessions are tailored to your unique goals and may include structured breaks, deep exploration, and space to reconnect in real time. Intensives are ideal for things like:

    • Affair recovery

    • Communication breakdowns

    • Feeling stuck in cycles of conflict

    • Rebuilding connection and trust

Billing for Intensives differs from standard sessions. If you're interested, reach out to discuss availability and pricing.

  • Healing happens in relationship with yourself, and with others.

Group therapy at Cardinal Counseling Connection offers a unique space to connect, grow, and explore relational patterns in real time.

    Upcoming groups may include:

    • Men & Relationships – A space for men to understand emotional needs, improve communication, and build deeper connections.

    • Women & Relationships – A group for women exploring emotional expression, relational dynamics, and personal empowerment.

    • Therapeutic Roleplaying Group – Explore emotions, identities, and social patterns through story-driven roleplay in a safe, guided setting.

Reach out to inquire about upcoming groups or join the interest list.

  • For clients who desire it, I offer therapy grounded in a Christian perspective. As Christians with backgrounds in ministry, I understand how deeply faith can shape your view of yourself, your relationships, and your healing.

This space can integrate scripture, prayer, or Christian values in ways that feel authentic and supportive to you. Whether you’re navigating spiritual questions, seeking growth within your faith, or simply want a therapist who understands the language of belief, you're welcome here.

Christian therapy is always client-led and available for both individuals and couples. If this is something you're looking for, feel free to mention it when you reach out.

  • For those grieving losses of all types, I offer grief therapy. I kindly and thoughtfully help you move through the grieving process. None of us should hurt on our own. Find my profile on https://www.griefsupportcenter.com/.

Cardinal Counseling Connection offers attachment-based therapy for individuals and couples seeking meaningful change in a warm, collaborative setting. Whether in person or through secure, high-quality telehealth, our services help you slow down, speak truthfully, and reconnect with yourself and with those who matter most.

What to Expect

Starting therapy is a courageous step. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to begin.

At Cardinal Counseling Connection, we aim to make the process feel clear, calm, and collaborative from the very first contact.

My Approach

From the very first session, our goal is to understand you fully and help you feel comfortable being your authentic self. Often, that means highlighting your strengths and helping you ask for what you need with clarity and confidence. Other times, it means walking beside you through the places where you feel stuck, where self-sabotage, fear, or old wounds have made it hard to open up to love or connection.

Whichever path we’re on, we’ll move through it with honesty, curiosity, and compassion. We genuinely enjoy helping people see themselves clearly and start living life on their own terms, not according to who others think they should be, but in alignment with who they really are.

Your First Steps

  1. Reach out. Use the contact form to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. This is a chance for us to briefly connect, answer any questions, and make sure we’re a good fit.

  2. Initial session. If we decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your first full session. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you hope to change, and begin mapping out a path forward together.

  3. Ongoing work. Therapy is an ongoing process of deepening insight, exploring emotions, and building new patterns—whether in your relationship with yourself or with someone else. We’ll go at a pace that feels right for you.
